7th INTER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Saturday the 14th of July 2007, ten of us went down to Hemel Hempstead for the 7th Inter Club Championships. What a day we had!! winning a total of 20 medals between us.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007
Oliver Ison is now 2nd in the world after competiting in the mens yellow belt middle weight category, at the recent 8th World Championships held in Birmingham on the 30th June and 1st of July 2007. Oli got through to the final and took the Silver medal after a good fight, only missing out on Gold by one point.

Vicki gained her trophy in the ladies yellow belt patterns division, by performing pattern Chon-Ji.
Simon achieved his in the mens yellow belt sparring, fighting through to the semi finals to take the 3rd place trophy.

Three times British Champion, Simon Carroll showing off his 1st place trophy after another excellent day at this years British Championships, which was held in Coventry on Sunday the 26th of November.

At the recent Inter-School Championships, held in Kings Lynn on Sunday the 3rd September 2006, Haverhill students had a successful day. Jack Sheppard won 3rd place in the boys yellow belt patterns, this was Jack's first ever tournament.
Also competing was Simon Carroll who is a Blue Belt Red Stripe. Simon who really enjoys his sparring, went on to win the mens Blue/Red belt division. His team also picked up 3rd place in the Blue/Red and Black, tag team event.
